Rendering (2016-2018)

Rendering studies the increasing appearance of architectural visualisations in towns and cities in Europe. These large and imposing media projections on construction hoardings can act as illusory screens or portals into a strangely unfamilar place, shaping our view of the built environment. Photographed as trompe l'oeil - or representations within representations - the viewer is invited to contemplate a place where virtual and built appear as extensions of one another.
